Overview

A Match Format describes how matches will be played including:

• the minimum number of players in teams
• whether matches will consist of singles, doubles, mixed sets and/or rubbers
• the total number and order of sets and/or rubbers to be played by a team.

If all your leagues/competitions/sections/divisions play the same number of sets and/or rubbers and all sets have the same rules about how they're won (numbers of games, tiebreakers, the order they're played etc), you will only need to create one Match Format and select it for all your leagues/competitions/sections/divisions.

And if the rules are the same next season, then you just select the Match Formats you've already set up - they stay in the system
