• Type – Singles, Doubles, Mixed, Set or Rubber (M=Men, W=Women, X=Mixed). Not binding – system does NOT prevent player of one gender playing in nominal position of opposite gender
• Player/Partner/Opponent/Partner number – where player matchups are decided on match day, matchups are adjusted when entering results (Playing to matchups makes for faster results entry)
• Championship Points – points can be allocated for each set/rubber. Player(s) who play in that set and win accrue points for the competition. Accrued points are viewed under Rankings for that Competition (Home page) if set by Administrator in the Competitions page
• Points per Set – can be changed for each set
• Games per Set – can be changed for each set
• Tiebreaker/Advantage occurs @ - used by system to decide if a set has been won. In the above example, the Tiebreaker occurs at 6 games but if Advantage rules were used, this value would be set to 5 games.
• Incomplete Set, split points? – if a set hasn't been completed, option to split points and award to each team. In the example above, the tick means each team would be awarded ½ point
• Incomplete Set, accrue half set to each team? – same situation as splitting points but ½ set is accrued by each team
• Points per Rubber – leave blank if not applicable
• Incomplete Rubber, split points? – as per Incomplete Set, split points and award to each team
• Last Set in Rubber is a Tiebreak? – Rather than playing a 3rd set in a rubber, many organisations play a (super)tiebreak ie some reduced format where the result counts as a set. Further, some will result the set 1-0 and others 7-6. Checking/ticking this option lets the system know that 7-6 or 1-0 counts as a set score for the purposes of determining which team won and for calculating ladders, rankings and statistics.

Note: Once a Match Format has been used by a competition for resulting, future changes can only be made to Championship Points and Incomplete Set and Rubber by checking/ticking each required function and Saving.
